Hilary Duff’s Comments About A ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Reboot Have Fans Very Excited πŸ™Œ

There are few Disney live action shows as beloved as Lizzie McGuire. Which is why the rumor Hilary Duff dropped also happened to drop jaws.

In an interview with ET’s Katie Krause, Duff answered a question about the possibility of a reboot.

β€œThere’s been some conversations.”

Pump the brakes before you get too excited folks. She continued saying,

β€œIt’s definitely not a go. I don’t want to get everyone wild talking about it.”

This hasn’t stopped fans from going wild talking about it.

Lizzie McGuire was a Disney teen sitcom that followed the day to day life of 13 year old Lizzie McGuire, played by Duff. While she dreamed of being popular, and dealt with her family, her inner monologue was represented by an animated alter-ego.

When asked where she thinks Lizzie would be in a reboot made today, Duff responded,

β€œI don’t think she’s a mom yet, but she might be getting there soon.”

The series ran from 2001 to 2003. While it only produced enough episodes to complete its 65 episode order, it proved popular enough that Disney produced a theatrical movie in 2003.

Sounds good to us!

After leaving Lizzie McGuire, Hilary Duff starred in other films like A Cinderella Story, The Perfect Man, and Cheaper by the Dozen and its sequel. Duff has also released five music albums over the course of her career, and her own fashion line. She’s also the mother of two children, and supports several philanthropic causes.

While the Lizzie McGuire reboot is still but a twinkle in an executive’s eye, the fact Duff is onboard is promising. Who knows? Maybe we’ll get it sooner than we think.
