An 11-Year-Old Girl Just Schooled Tomi Lahren On Funding For The Border Wall—And We Are Living For It

This past Tuesday, President Trump threatened to shut down the government over funding ‘the wall’.

Unsurprisingly, despite the controversial nature of his comments, conservative commentators flocked to Fox News to support the President.

One of these defenders was Tomi Lahren. Of course.

Lahren tweeted on Wednesday…

And that is when Mari Copeny stepped in.

At only 8-years-old, Copeny earned the name ‘Little Miss Flint’ after writing a letter to then President Obama asking him to meet with her and other activist groups to watch the congressional hearings on the Flint water crisis.  She has continued her activism ever since.

Now 11, Copeny responded to Lahren on Twitter by saying:

“$5 billion for water infrastructure upgrades and testing in schools seems like a much better way to spend that much money…but what do I know…I’m just a kid from Flint who was forced to learn all things water after the government poisoned us”

Copeny had to explain to some how multitasking works.

People were here for her.

When cities across the United States are at risk of lead contaminated water, perhaps building President Trump’s border wall for $5 billion should not be our top infrastructure priority.
