Steve Carell is one of Hollywood’s most talented men. He is also one of the most charming, likable, and charismatic men in the industry right now. In short, it’s really hard not to like the guy. Believe it or not, he’s just made it even harder.
Carell recently made an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. While there, he mentioned that he used to be a mailman. During the holidays, he often got letters to Santa. Most mailmen will take letters to Santa, no problem. There’s even an official address for mail to Santa! Carell went above and beyond during his stint with the US Postal Service.
When he got letters for Santa, he would leave confirmation notes saying the letters had been picked up by official reindeer couriers. How. Flippin’. Cute. Imagine how happy and excited those little kids must have been to see those confirmations! Carell has been out here doing his part to make the world a little more magic since well before he hit the silver screen.

Fans of the Colbert/Carell bromance loved seeing the two old friends banter again.

Me: I'm getting sick. I should go to bed now.
Also me: Steve Carell is on Colbert! I'll just catch that first. I wonder if Jon Stewart is under his desk…did I send all my Christmas cards? I should answer a few emails to get ahead of tomorrow. How do you cut a mango? #momlife

As we said, there’s just something really likable about the guy. The thing is, people tend to be a little suspicious when amazing actors seem like really cool people. They’re actors, after all. But knowing that Carell was genuinely this awesome before the world was watching is just proof that he’s the real deal.
