Fans Wanted 100% More SpongeBob And ‘Sweet Victory’ During The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Last night’s Super Bowl halftime show was universally received as meh. People were underwhelmed by Maroon 5’s performances of their old faithful hits, “She Will Be Loved”, “Sugar”, and “Moves Like Jagger”. Audiences also couldn’t help but roll their eyes at Adam Levine’s shirt removal that revealed his strange hodgepodge of tattoos.

However, there was one real win during last night’s halftime show, and that was the cameo appearance of SpongeBob and his crew.

Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode” received a fiery introduction when SpongeBob and Squidward performed their introduction into “Sweet Victory” from the episode “Band Geeks”.

However, the exciting moment from the pineapple-under-the-sea was interrupted when Travis Scott’s song began.

Fans really wished the halftime show had gone something more like this.

The interruption felt less like a “Sweet Victory” and more like a sour loss.

But others were just counting their bikini bottom blessings.

I guess it’s the littlest victories that are the sweetest.
