Guy Climbs To Top Of Egyptian Pyramid To Have Fake Sex With Model For Photo—And People Are Pissed

A video on YouTube and a photograph by a self-proclaimed urban explorer, Danish-born Andreas Hvid, has many outraged and the rest simply confused.

In the video, Hvid is barely seen fumbling around in the dark with an unknown woman whose face is blurred out while the two secretly climb the Great Pyramid of Giza. The video doesn’s show it, but it seems the goal was to wait for sunrise, take off their clothes, pretend to have sex, and snap a photo, which appears on Hvid’s website.

Not only did the stunt upset people with its lack of respect, but Egyptian authorities are opening an investigation into how the couple managed to climb the pyramid at night.

The Egyptian antiquities minister, Khaled al-Anani, said that climbing the pyramid is “strictly forbidden” and called the ensuing photo, “violation of public morality.”

The NSFW photo was posted on social media.

Hvid is adamant the two did not have sex and the photo was staged.

He told a Danish paper:

“A euphoric feeling struck us both when we reached the top. It was the culmination of a lot of work and many chances taken. We did not have sex and we never had it.”

He also added:

“I will stay out of Egypt in the future, as I probably risk being sentenced if I go back.”

Folks on social media were not impressed.

The resulting photo hardly seems worth the risk.
