Alt-Right Author Gets Totally Obliterated After Lamenting What Stan Lee Would Think Of ‘Captain Marvel’

Alt-right author and all-around bigot Jack Posobiec took to Twitter on March 9th to lament the current state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While it’s a little unclear whether he was referring to Captain Marvel, the female-led global smash that pulled in a $153 million domestic opening, or three-time Oscar-winning film Black Panther, which was considered a great step forward for diversity, Posobiec made it clear he thought Marvel icon Stan Lee would be displeased with how things have turned out.

Unfortunately for Posobiec, the internet’s only reaction to his inane, ill-informed comment was to unanimously laugh in his face.

And of course Stan Lee was literally IN all the Marvel movies.

More than that, he was very in the know about every step Marvel was taking and was well-documented as having loved it.

Many were especially angry with Posibec for trying to evoke Lee’s memory to further the cause of hate, the very antithesis of what Lee stood for in life.

Some of the comments got a bit more personal.

Stan Lee left no room for misinterpretation when it came to his belief in diversity and inclusion.

Lee once spoke about Marvel, saying:

“Marvel has always been and always been a reflection of the world right outside out window. That world may change and evolve but the one thing that will never change is the way we tell our stories of heroism. Those stories have room for everyone, regardless of their race, gender, religion or colour of their skin. The only things we don’t have room for are hatred, intolerance and bigotry.”

It seems Posobiec has no idea what Stan Lee would want or why.

Go home, Jack.
