After Being Dubbed ‘Sleepy Joe’ By Trump, Joe Biden Just Fired Back With A Nickname Of His Own

Trump is already looking for ways to insult the 2020 candidates a year out from the primaries.

When Joe Biden entered the Democratic primary race last week, Trump and family retaliated by giving him the nickname “Sleepy Joe.”

Joe Biden had some ideas for nicknames to throw back at Trump.

“There’s so many nicknames I’m inclined to give this guy. You can just start with clown,”  he said to supporters at a fundraiser.

Is it wise to get involved in the insult wars?

Biden himself went on to say that mud-slinging was not wise for the campaign.

“On every single issue and on every demeaning thing he says about other people, I have no problem responding directly. What I’m not going to do is get into what he wants me to do. He wants this to be a mud-wrestling match,” he said.

Biden’s comments that he did not believe China to be competitive with the US invited criticism from both sides of the aisle.

And there are a number of other reasons Biden is proving to be an unpopular candidate, listed here.

The 2020 race could easily devolve into name-calling and sub-tweeting:

It will be interesting to see just how we choose to make history next year.
