Let this be a lesson to you all: drugs are bad.
Because they can make you do crazy things.
Things like break down the door to a random apartment and try to kidnap a random child you’re convinced is yours. But in fact is just a random child who’s never seen you in its life. Then you get the snot kicked out of you by a tag team of grandparents and cops.
Also you get tased.
To be honest, this sounds like a particularly hackneyed Law & Order plot so you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s fake, but it is in fact what happened in Lebanon, Indiana recently.
Patty Roth, her husband and their six-year-old granddaughter were just minding their own business in their Lebanon, Indiana home when, as Patty put it to Fox59:
“I was sound asleep in my bedroom and this guy came kicking in and said, ‘You have my daughter.’”
The guy’s name is Benjamin Dillon and the family whose home he invaded were no relation to Mr. Dillon.
Roth’s husband fought the dude off until the cops showed up, whereupon Dillon told them he would fight them and kill them.
And then he actually tried it!
Anyway after tangling with both grandpa and the cops, he now looks like this.
Anyway the little girl was unharmed, thankfully—though Roth told reporters she was, of course, very scared.
And online, people had about as much patience for Dillon as Grandma Patty did.
Give these grandparents an award 🥇

Dillon was suspected to be on a drug of some kind and has been twice arrested in 2019 on drug charges.
For her part, Roth seemed to have some sympathy for Dillon… to a point.
As she told Fox59:
“I hope he gets the help he needs and I hope he gets himself back on his feet… I wouldn’t want him walking back in my apartment again. He will regret it the next time.”
Do not mess with grandma!
