7-Year-Old Girl Belts Out A Powerhouse Rendition Of The National Anthem For The Ages 😮

Singing the national anthem is a big deal. But singing it flawlessly in front of an entire stadium of people, at a mere seven years old? No one can deny that takes some serious talent and courage–and Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja has plenty of both.

The young singer won a competition to perform the national anthem at the start of the LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders soccer game at the StubHub Center in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Since the start of the game, the video of the self-proclaimed “singer, actor, model & anthem girl”  has gone viral, earning millions of views and hundreds of comments.

One commenter said:

“She is adorable. She knows the words and the tune better than most adults.”

Someone else called the miniature vocalist a “little boss lady.”

Others got emotional while watching the performance:

“I’m all choked up. Wow, so precious.”

The sudden fame comes at no surprise, considering the big vocals on this little girl:

Twitter couldn’t get enough of Tjandrawidjaja:

Kelcey Brade of SportsCentre and Marie Hui, an up-and-coming-singer-songwriter who has also performed the national anthem, were a few amongst many commentators.

People were seriously impressed at how well this girl can sing:

How is there so much soul and passion in such a young voice?

Tjandrawidjaja has a natural-born talent for singing – and belting:

Now she is being asked to perform the anthem for other events, including the International Champions Cup.

She graciously accepted, of course. She was also invited to perform at the USA Sevens Rugby in Las Vegas during March 2019.

Who knows? Maybe the Super Bowl is in her future…

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, forward for the LA Galaxy, took a photo with the eager competition winner after she sang:

The 36-year-old athlete called the pint-sized performer “MVP of the game!”

Sure, the LA Galaxy might’ve won the game, but as far as we can see, Tjandrawidjaja is the real winner here:

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I mean, I’m not.

Considering all of the attention and praise for her debut performance, it remains doubtful that this is the last time we’ll hear about Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja.
